Anyone on this forum old enough to have had a job during the Carter administration?
Just felt a de ja vu moment coming on, and wanted to see what other adult Americans felt about that time.
Yes, I was lucky to have a job during the Carter administration. And yes, I too am on the verge of a de ja vu moment with Obama.
Carter raised social security taxes through the roof, added a new large tax on oil and gas. Carter canceled his planned tax refunds for middle class families and increased federal spending precipitously. He added bilions to new job entitlements and urban aid. The result was 18% inflation and economic stagnation. Americans learned there lesson after electing him... and will likely do so again after Obama.
Just when we thought Carter was one of the worst presidents in American history.. Obama only has to do half of what he wants to do to beat Carter for that distinction.
Idiots who blame Bush for the state of affairs today are mindless parrots of the liberal playbook and don't want to face the truth that democrat policies and a democrat run congress who led to the state of affairs today, and Obama will only make things worse.
Reagan was one of the greatest presidents this country has ever had, and saved us from the disasterous policies of Carter. So who will our next Reagan be.. because we are going to need one fast.
