Why does my baby cry everytime I put her to bed?
My 8 month old daughter cries and screams for along time before she finally falls asleep consistantly every single night. I know she is tired....but it doesnt seem to matter. We have a really good bedtime routine, I bathe her, nurse her, rock her.....give her a soother and put her down drowsy but awake in her crib with her blanket and turn on her musical toy. As soon as shes down, she starts crying and then it goes to SCREAMING when she sees me leave the room. I know its mostly seperation anxiety, but what should I do about it?
Do you hold your daughter alot? that has alot to do with it and that might be why she screams. My baby is a month old and I have a pretty strict routine with him like you do...After I give him a bath though, it's around 9 or 930, and I let him lay out on the couch with us for a while until he gets pretty drowsy...then I will hold him for a couple minutes and put him to bed. I'm sure alot of it is anxiety for your little girl, and it might be from holding too much..and that might not be the case either. I don't know your life!!!
