Does a book misprint make it special/ expensive?
The second book of a Stephen King Dark Tower set 1-4 that I bought is misprinted. A section of the book is missing and in its place is about 45 pages of reprints from a earlier section. Is it enough to be special and make it collectable? Will it be worth more?
Not now, but maybe 100 years from now that misprint will be worth something! Like a stamp that has an airplane upside down (Inverted Jenny). There are, allegedly, some editions of "Ben Hur" with misprints that are worth a fortune.
BTW, when King's book "IT" came out, I bought it, and it also had a misprint! Over 35 pages of the story were repeated, but the pages that were supposed to be there were...gone! I got a refund, naturally, and stood at the bookstore reading the missing pages.
