In Metal I've heard people say that Unearth, Lamb of God, All That Remains and Killswitch, are "the new wave of american heavy metal" some people deny this new trend, i would say they're bringing a new song and lyrical style that is new to us. Are there any other metal trends?
Yeah to me Killswitch and All That Remains are an american response to Melodic Death Metal from the Gothenburg scene with In Flames and Arch Enemy etc.

Lamb of God and As I lay dying like post hardcore bands, with a lot of punk influence. As Chris Adler puts it "we're a punk band playing metal"

I don't need the titles and everything to listen to a band but i just find the movements interesting
