Hamster is about 5 months old and has never been hand tamed, is this still possible to do?
My syrian hamster is about five months old. He has never been hand tamed. From the beginning he's always been very mellow and he rarely nips at anyone. He isn't hanled very often and is rarely held. I get him in and out of his cage by putting his ball up against the door and he willingly comes out
How can I become more used to handling him, and can I still hand tame him?
it is never impossible to tame a hamster! you need to:
1. get it used to you being around.
2.offer it treats in your hand.
3.pet it while it is in your hand.
4.hold it for about half an hour.
5.put it back when the half hour's up or it gets angry, nervous, or annoyed.
6.repeat each day, until you have a loyal, sweet, trusting, furry friend!
