Is it safe to take a one year old baby to Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica?
I am thinking of going in February and I'm concerned whether it is safe to take a baby there.
Its perfectly safe to take a baby to Manual Antonio. DJDJ is correct, CR has an excellent health care system. I actually go there from Florida for a lot of my health care needs. Manual Antonio is a very touristy spot and you'll find it very Americanized. The walking paths through the National Park there are wide and flat and you could probably push a stroller through without any problems.
If your baby is walking, I would still use the stroller around the National Forest, there are some venomous snakes and plant life that you wouldn't want him/her to trip across. Also, be sure to take a guided hike into the Park. There is so much that you will miss without a guide and they'll be able to tell you how to avoid the snakes and which plants you don't want to touch.
