43" Hitachi hd tv Md# 43dx01b purchased 01. The picture has outlines, they are telling me its the convergence?
Problem just appeared out of no where. I have tried to adjust convergence through box and then manually. Turning the dials to align a red , blue and green cross in middle of screen creating a white colored cross in center of screen. I got it almost back however the red line has a slight ark to it and wont line up fully. I was told a chip was bad,$500 to fix.$250 if I bring the board in.Somedays you eat the bear and somedays the bear eats you, well ain't much of me left to eat lately.I just can't believe it's a chip,i believe its something simple like a dusty lens on 1 of the three guns.I just dont trust THE TV MAN.This is a square screen tv which I prefer over the wide screens. I paid $1800 for the set mid 01, i dont know if its worth putting out the money if thats what the prob is. To my knowledge I dont believe they make any more hd square sets anymore. Any suggestions would be of great help. Thanks
Why don't you TRUST the TV man?? He's got YEARS of experience working on TV sets and YOU don't...
I take it you don't trust the Auto Repair guy either...or your Doctor or Dentist....
WHY?
Oh well, try cleaning that DUSTY LENS...see what happens.
I can't make you TRUST your TV repairman, but I'll tell you this....HE'S RIGHT, and you should listen to him.
