Are sound effects that are downloaded from a website that says "free file downloads" illegal to use on youtube?
I downloaded some bird/nature sound effects from ilovewavs.com and I was wondering if this is illegal to use on a youtube video? The website says "free file download", and when i click on the "fair use and copyright info" link, it directs me to an "error 404 - page not found".
So will my video get flagged and muted if I use their sound effects?
no it won't and if the site made them it's not illegal. You want to search royalty free music or sound effects to avoid copyright, but you will have no problem with those.
